About us

Learning German is like juggling

Learning cases, numbers, genders, vocabulary, syntax, conjugation, and tenses requires patience, skill, and practice. You can't learn everything at once. That's why we prioritize topics by importance and guide you through the learning process step by step.

AEIOU's philosophy

There's so much opportunity to enhance the language learning experience, and technology can make it possible.

As we grow, we're committed to continually improving our offerings and tools to ensure our students receive the best learning experience. While we may have limited features now, we're dedicated to introducing more tools, materials, media, and different approaches over time.

Each language has evolved and was developed over time through the usage and contributions of native speakers as they saw fit and it's now behaving in certain ways for very specific reasons. Our goal is to help you learn to think in that language's unique way, using it to your advantage at every opportunity. Language isn't just complicated to make your life harder. Think about it, even kids learn it and they learn it effectively before learning about grammar or spelling. Therefor it cannot be that hard.

Rules of conduct

Do you know that feeling? Learning something you've heard before or witnessing incorrect conduct among other students? In conversational lessons, refrain from asking for grammar explanations. In grammar lessons, ask for new vocabulary. At our school, we understand these challenges and are dedicated to guide you through them.

Each of our lesson types adheres to certain rules of conduct and the separation of priorities.

Tutors

Fred

Fred enjoys teaching German at all levels, but he especially likes beginner and intermediate levels. Fred always takes notes to illustrate his explanations. During lessons, Fred tries to translate as little as possible and instead shows the meanings (either with pictures or with a context example). When learning languages, it is often just about repeating what you hear, i.e. words, idioms and phrases that native speakers of the respective language use. Nevertheless, Fred pays great attention to grammar and etymology. Fred knows that these things subconsciously connect related languages and make learning and memorizing much easier.
